Our hotel

The first evening involved bike and people watching on the main street. We went to an Italian restaurant for our dinner. After dinner while patrolling the main street on foot, we managed to force down ice cream from Fat Willies.

That was the small cone

Friday morning we all headed out to the vendors to purchase "stuff" for the bikes. After the buying frenzy, Stu and I took two demo rides. The first was the BMW 1600 sport touring model. It is a great bike with good power and handling. The second ride was on a Victory touring model. For a 1700 cc bike it was a pig. The gearing was either to low or two high and found the power range was sluggish. It did handle OK.

We returned to the hotel and walked to the Log Jammer restaurant for some heavy duty meat eating. Some ate it all and some left with a doggie bag.
We then went to the main street for more chrome and noise, however instead, we had the opportunity to do the "hop" putting on our rain gear and retuning to the hotel for a few refreshments.

Saturday was ride day. We left around noon to travel twisty roads along lakes and rivers, west of Lake George. We arrived in the historic town of Saratoga Springs for dinner at the Circus Restaurant. We did stop at a Harley Dealer due to some serious begging by one of our riders.

After returning to the hotel, we went downtown again to get our last fix of chrome and sounds. Since it was Hockey Night in Canada, we returned to the hotel early to catch the end of the Stanley Cup finals game. Devils won.
Sunday was return day and it was sunny and warm. We returned via Tupper Lake to Ogdensburg with a scenic tour of the backroads of Canton, NY. Marcus suggest route 28n which turned out be a great ride. He also suggested a mom and pop diner in Tupper Lake which also was enjoyable especially the foot thick pies.
